Little bit about yourself:
Hi! My name is Kelly and I am happily married to Jeff and mom of
two boys – Gregory 9 and Eric 7 – my own lil’ superheroes. I love my job;
I work at a Superhero Factory – how can you say that and not smile? I love
to quilt and* START *projects – most of which never end up completed. I
love the outdoors – whether it’s in the woods or on the lake. I love to
read and I collect coffee mugs.
What’s your favorite thing about working here?
My favorite thing about working at PowerCape/Superfly Kids is how
flexible and easy going the atmosphere is. Kids don’t have school? Bring
them in! I LOVE my job and find myself often telling people how lucky I am
to have a job that I love going to.
Tell us about one of your favorite moments while working here.
One of my favorite memories has to be our Ugly Christmas Shirt party…
so much laughing AND of course lots of cookies!
Who is your favorite Superhero?
My favorite Superhero doesn’t actually have a cape… she doesn’t need
one – although she definitely deserves one! My Mom!!
Do you have any of our products?
I actually really do have a cape! I have a KellyGreen Cape with an Orange
Sparkle flower and a Fuchsia Sparkle K – complete with coordinating shirt!
Yesterday was National Superhero Day and thank you to everyone for helping us celebrate! We love all the Superheroes out there – teachers, service men and women, fire men and women, police officers, our Heart Hero kids…we could go on and on!

Did you celebrate National Superhero Day? If you did, let us know and even better – show us your cape!
We’re still in Pittsburgh and today is National Superhero Day! So exciting for us! We’ll get a bunch of videos and stuff up later of all the cool things going on with our capes. But first, the Superhero Foundation Run! We were very excited to be a part of this event for such a great group – CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocate Association. We showed up early to take some photos and get ready for the run and thanks to all those who let us get some photos of them! It was cold, so even better that all these people are dedicated enough and care enough about such a great cause to brave it!

We’re in Pittsburgh this weekend to participate in the 4th Annual Pittsburgh Superhero Foundation 1K or 5K Run/Walk. We’re one of the sponsors and going to be there running! Okay, maybe just walking. Find out more about the run here if you’re in Pittsburgh! http://superherorun.com/
The run is tomorrow, Saturday, so we came into Pittsburgh a little early and stopped by the Toonseum in downtown Pittsburgh since they carry our capes. Big thanks to Toonseum for showing us around and what a great collection of comics they have! The Spirit, Fat Albert, and a few others. They even have a desk from the Walt Disney Studios in California from 1930 – 1960 that you can create a cartoon on! Here are a few of the photos from there.

Why we didn’t think to get photos with the capes they sell, I don’t know! Hopefully we’ll have lots more photos to share with you from the Superhero Run.

We hosted a cookie exchange and ugly Christmas sweater party at the office. It had to be a short celebration – we’re so busy getting everyone’s orders together and mailed! Thanks to everyone out there who loves our products!
